A BETTER DEBRIEF, FOR MORE SAILORS

Professional-style analysis.
For every sailor.

At the top of the sport, a race is followed by a detailed debrief: the shifts, the speed, the choices that made the difference.

We built Track to Tactics to bring that approach to club racers, one-design crews and ambitious teams. All from fleet tracking, without the budget or onboard wind equipment of a professional programme.

More understanding. Within reach.

LOOK BEYOND THE RESULT

What made the difference?

From the gun to the last rounding,
put your decisions in fleet context.

01

Get the start right.

Review your timing, position on the line and acceleration. See how your opening compares with the fleet.

02

Read the racecourse.

Explore estimated wind shifts and pressure through each leg. Follow the fleet to understand which side paid.

03

Find your speed.

Compare speed, VMG and sailing angles with your rivals and class targets. Separate pace from positioning.

04

Make every turn count.

Overlay tacks and gybes, aligned to the wind. Compare entry speed, recovery and the distance each manoeuvre cost.

YOUR BOAT. THE FLEET. EVERY LEG.

A replay shows the tracks.
A debrief joins the dots.

Explore the race leg by leg, choose a rival and compare the moments that changed your result. Take the analysis back to the team with an exportable PDF.

THE FLEET IS THE SENSOR

Wind insight from the boats themselves.

Our algorithm turns fleet tracking into estimates of wind direction and strength through the race. Explore the shifts and pressure behind the decisions, even when onboard wind measurements are unavailable.

Accuracy depends on the available tracking coverage. Wind and reconstructed results are estimates; official race results remain the reference.

Before you come aboard.

Do I need wind instruments on my boat?

No. Our algorithm estimates wind from the available race tracking. You need sufficient tracking coverage of the race.

Where does the tracking come from?

Track to Tactics works with race tracking providers, including RaceSense. TracTrac and Estela imports depend on the required API access or credentials. Event availability and data coverage vary by provider.

Is it only for one-design racing?

One-design fleets offer direct boat-to-boat comparison. The app also supports ORC rating context and tactical analysis for foiling classes. Flight-specific metrics depend on additional telemetry.
